A Note from Mr. Chan
Pending Closure Notice
Posted July 2026
Fort Bend Learning Commons is planning to wind down operations by 2028.
I want to be transparent with current and prospective families: FBLC was built as a bridge — a way to bring the best of what I learned in a decade of public education directly to students in our community, in a more focused setting. That mission hasn't changed, but my professional path is taking me in a new direction.
What This Means for You
If you're a current student: Nothing changes for the remainder of your enrollment. Sessions, schedules, and instruction will continue at the same quality you've come to expect. I'm committed to every student who walks through our door.
If you're considering enrolling: We are still accepting students for all programs through the 2027–2028 academic year. You and your student will receive the full FBLC experience — small classes, experienced instructors, and the conceptual teaching approach that sets us apart.
Timeline: The specific closure date has not been finalized. We will provide families with ample notice and support during the transition. This page will be updated as details become available.
Why We're Sharing This Now
Transparency is one of our core values. Families deserve to make informed decisions about their children's education, and I would rather share this information early than have it come as a surprise. The quality of instruction will not decline — if anything, we intend to make the remaining time count even more.
Questions?
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to speak with any family personally.
